User Research & Initial Market Exploration

I conducted a quantitative study to identify the target audience and explore the market. In addition to demographic variables, I also used psychographic variables: based on users' activities, interests, information sources, and technological capabilities as lifestyle indicators, to gain a deeper understanding of their emotional motivations and values.

02

Findings

In terms of demographic variables, age shows more significant differences in needs and opinions compared to gender. The primary users are distributed among the youngest and oldest age groups, sharing similar pain points.

Regarding psychographic variables, those with a positive attitude towards making handmade cards prefer creative and personalized features, while those with a negative attitude prioritize practicality and convenience. Additionally, users with experience in making cards need solutions for achieving design effects and simplifying the creation process, whereas inexperienced users mainly face challenges in finding inspiration and materials.

Upcoming Stages

After establishing the requirements and value propositions, I will conduct a comparative analysis of current market competitors and further develop solutions to address the identified problems. I plan to introduce participatory design development in the future, inviting target users to be part of the design process. By leveraging user perspectives, this will help me more accurately understand user-centered needs.
